Berry van Drunen
Berry is both lawyer and mediator. He focuses on the long term and is able to get cases back on track that have ended up in a deadlock. With his background in healthcare law, the care sector is familiar territory for him.
In his relationship with clients, Berry is a partner in business. With his background in health law, the healthcare sector is familiar territory for him. He combines his passion for sports with his legal practice. He is an advisor to various sports authorities and go-to lawyer for several professional soccer organizations. He inter alia handled the successful urgent appeal proceedings filed by Vitesse against the revocation of its professional license. Berry was a member of the KNVB Regulations Committee for 12 years, including three years as its chairman. He is also an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and a member of the Health Insurance Disputes Committee.
Before Berry started his own firm in 2011, he was a lawyer at the international firms De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Van Doorne.
Berry is a member of the Dutch Academy for Health Law (VGR) and is fully certified ADR-mediator.
Berry has registered Employment law as principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister). Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in this legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
